Job description

Essential Functions:

1. Customer Service
   • Provide consistent, high-quality customer service by adhering to Lowe's policies, procedures, and programs.
   • Engage with customers to understand their needs and assist with locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
   • Respond promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee inquiries, guiding them through projects when necessary.
   • Show genuine appreciation to customers.
   • Communicate information regarding stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe’s products and programs.
   • Coordinate with customers and delivery drivers regarding delivery schedules and updates.
2. In-stock
   • Plan and execute delivery activities, including printing loading tickets and ensuring on-time delivery.
   • Pull merchandise, build and band loads, and load trucks within payload limits according to delivery orders.
   • Inspect products before loading and assist customers with loading as needed.
   • Verify invoice items with loaded quantities by checking descriptions, items, and model numbers.
3. Clean and Safe Stores
   • Ensure loads are secure, safe, and compliant with DOT regulations.
   • Update delivery and route status in the tracking system.
   • Unload, install, and test appliances upon delivery.
   • Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and report repairs for delivery vehicles and equipment.
   • Complete DOT reporting to maintain certification and compliance.
   • Identify and report security risks such as shoplifting or theft.
   • Maintain store cleanliness and organization, ensuring a safe working environment.
   • Follow safety protocols related to job duties and operate store equipment as required.
   • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Class A CDL License for multi-unit CMV locations, or
• Class B CDL License with air brake endorsement for single-unit CMV locations,
• Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment,
• Ability to pass MVR screening,
• Ability to obtain any necessary sales licenses or registrations,
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic,
• Must be at least 21 years old,
• Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.

Preferences:

• One year of experience driving semi-trucks/trailers or certification from a driving school,
• Six months of experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service,
• Three months of experience operating a forklift or Moffett for onloading/offloading.
