Job summary

The Soft Count Clerk at Emerald Queen Casino is responsible for performing daily cash counts and accurately recording the content of casino drop boxes, while following department policies. The role includes sorting and counting chips and currency, verifying strapping amounts, posting and reconciling the games summary sheet, and supporting guest service goals.

Starting wage is $21.59/hr and increases to $22.17/hr after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Cash handling experience is required.
• Ten-key experience (preferred).
• Must posses good math skills.
• Additional education/experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Count cash and accurately record content of casino drop boxes.
• Sort and count the chips and currency in the drop boxes.
• Verify strapping amounts of currency.
• Post and reconcile the games summary sheet and reconcile posted and counted amounts.
• Promote the casino's goals of providing superior guest service.
