Job summary

Emerald Queen Casino is seeking a Soft Count Clerk to perform daily cash counts and accurately record the contents of casino drop boxes. You will sort and count chips and currency, verify strapping amounts, and post/consolidate the games summary sheet while reconciling counts.

The role emphasizes superior guest service and supports duties as assigned by the department manager. The position is full-time with starting pay $21.59/hr, increasing to $22.17/hr after 90-day orientation, and includes

Job description

The Soft Count Clerk is responsible for performing the daily cash count and accurately recording the content of casino drop boxes while adhering to department policies and procedures. Additional duties include sorting and counting the chips and currency in the drop boxes, verifying strapping amounts of currency, clearly and accurately posts and consolidates the games summary sheet and reconciles posted and counted amounts. Promotes the casinos goals of providing superior guest service. Performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager.

Starting wage is $21.59/hr increasing to $22.17/hr at successful completion of 90-day orientation period. This full-time position features excellent employer-paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required

Experience & Requirements:

• Cash handling experience is required
• Ten-key experience (preferred)
• Must posses good math skills.
• Additional education/experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of the position.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours
• Must have good manual and finger dexterity
• Must be able to bend, reach and squat
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment
• Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
