Job summary

Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community is seeking a dietary assistant to support meal preparation and service for residents, staff and guests. You will assist in the dietary program and ensure quality food service in accordance with federal and state standards.

Role requires ability to read and follow recipes, perform simple calculations, and maintain regular attendance. High school diploma or equivalent is required; English fluency is essential for communication and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
• Able to perform simple calculations.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Knowledge of basic cooking principles preferred.

5am to 1:30pm, with an E/O weekend and E/O Holiday rotation

REPORTS TO:

Director of Nutrition Services or supervisor

POSITION:

Assists in the overall dietary program for the preparation of meals in accordance with current applicable federal and state standards. Assures quality food service for our residents, staff and guests.
