Job summary

The Ranch at Dove Tree in the United States is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate I to join its multidisciplinary treatment team. You will monitor client behaviors, provide continuous care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling, and respond in crisis situations as needed.

Key duties include safety checks, charting, de-escalation, and facilitating educational-rehabilitative groups while coordinating with nurses and staff.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
• Knowledge of common psychiatric disorders and/or dual diagnosis and various treatment modalities of the population served preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors wellbeing and provides a safe, positive, structured environment.
• Conducts safety checks and ensures supervision per guidelines.
• Checks clients for contraband and manages valuables.
• Interacts with clients, observes behaviors, and communicates observations to supervisor.
• Encourages attendance at group therapy and client participation in activities.
• Facilitates educational-rehabilitative groups on social and coping skills.
• Takes and records vital signs and reports changes to the nurse.
• Charts in client records timely and accurately.
• Applies de-escalation techniques to manage emotions and behavior.
• Assists with unit organization, admissions, discharges, and incident reports.
• Provides transport or coordinates transport as needed.
