Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our CHEF’S STORE in Charleston, SC. This full-time role requires weekend availability and offers a starting hourly rate of $24.74.

You will help lead front-end operations, drive sales and profits, and train staff to maintain loss prevention and customer service standards. You will work with the Store Manager to implement the Annual Operating Plan, manage staffing, and ensure a safe, well-maintained store environment.

Qualifications

• A two-year college degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• A degree in Business Management, Supply Chain/Wholesale Management, or Accounting / Finance is strongly preferred.
• Related retail experience and supervisory exposure are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Supervise front-end staff to ensure efficient, friendly service at registers and throughout the store.
• Assist in budgeting and annual operating plan execution to meet sales and profit targets.
• Ensure loss prevention procedures are followed and manage shrink in cooperation with the Store Manager.
• Recruit, hire, and train front-end staff and other assigned employees.
• Plan in-store demonstrations and merchandising activities per the program guidelines.
• Oversee inventory processes, product receiving, returns, and shelf restocking.
