At Allen Edmonds, our Assistant Managers support all store activities, working closely with the Store Manager. You will assist the Sales Associate team, manage product placement, uphold visual merchandising standards, and create a premium brand experience for our customers.

We offer competitive base rates with flexible schedules and the potential to increase earnings through uncapped commissions.

What You'll Be Doing

  1. Support Sales Goals: Coach Sales Associates to improve sales performance and overcome challenges. Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop action plans.
  2. Develop Selling & Service Skills: Lead training for Sales Associates on customer service, product knowledge, and sales techniques.
  3. Maintain Visual Standards: Regularly walk the sales floor with team members to ensure visual merchandising guidelines are met.
  4. Lead Store Outreach & Events: Organize local events, in-store experiences, and outreach campaigns to boost traffic and sales.
  5. Identify Sales Opportunities: Review sales data and KPIs with the Store Manager to find areas for improvement.
  6. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as needed to meet business needs.
  7. Earnings Opportunities: Earn uncapped commissions and monthly bonuses based on store performance.

Preferred Qualifications & Education

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to build effective relationships within the store
  • Goal-oriented and organized
  • Leadership and coaching skills
  • Independent judgment and discretion
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of retail practices and Microsoft Office
  • Flexible schedule including holidays, nights, weekends

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 40 lbs. regularly
  • Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting
  • Mobility on the sales floor for extended periods
