Qualifications

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Completion of a formal Interpreter Training Program (ITP).
• Hold a current interpreter/transliterator certification.

Responsibilities

• Interpret for Deaf students in various educational settings.
• Collaborate with teachers to understand lesson plans.
• Assist in delivering individualized support aligned with IEPs.

Skills

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)

Understanding of Deaf culture

Strong communication skills

Education

Associate’s degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited institution
