Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct interpreting services for students, faculty, and staff on-site.

Job description

Bring your passion for communication and educational support to a rewarding contract opportunity as an ASL Interpreter in a vibrant K-12 school setting near Minneapolis, MN. In this essential role, youll collaborate closely with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, as well as teachers, to create accessible classroom environments and bridge language barriers. The position is full-time, on-site, and runs through May 28, 2027.

What Youll Bring:
  • Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID-NIC or NAD IV/V), or a minimum score of 4.0 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) with the EIPA written exam
  • Previous experience interpreting in educational settings, particularly K-12, is highly valued
  • Demonstrated fluency in American Sign Language and a commitment to supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
  • Ability to collaborate with educational teams and adapt communication styles as needed
  • Professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and reliability in classroom environments
Key Responsibilities:
