Job summary

College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a full-time LPN for the Day Shift in our psychiatric unit. You will provide safe, therapeutic patient care under RN supervision and follow established policies to support a healing environment for patients in need.

New graduates are welcome to apply. Must hold a current LPN license, BLS for Healthcare Providers, a Level One Fingerprint Card, and CPI within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current LPN licensure
• New Grads are welcome to apply
• A Level One Fingerprint Card is required
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider card
• Minimum 6 months of psychiatric experience required
• CPI Certification required within 30 days of hire
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute psychiatric inpatient setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Observe, record, and report changes in patients’ conditions promptly and accurately
• Monitor safety within the therapeutic milieu and assist in managing crisis situations, including assaultive patients
• Assist in the admission process, including comprehensive data collection and orienting new patients to the unit and program
• Document relevant patient interactions, collected data, and responses to therapeutic interventions in medical records
• Collaborate closely with RNs and interdisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate individualized care plans
