Job summary

College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking an LPN to join our Nursing Department on the overnight/AM shift in Phoenix. You will provide safe, therapeutic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Current LPN licensure.
• New grads welcome to apply.
• A Level One Fingerprint Card is required.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider card.
• Minimum 6 months of psychiatric experience required.
• CPI Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute psychiatric inpatient setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe, record, and report changes in patients’ conditions promptly and accurately.
• Monitor safety within the therapeutic milieu and assist in managing crisis situations, including assaultive patients.
• Assist in the admission process, including data collection and orienting new patients to the unit and program.
• Document relevant patient interactions and responses to interventions in medical records.
• Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate individualized care plans.

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CMC Phoenix roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices.
