Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to build and maintain enterprise applications that support regulatory operations. You will work across backend and frontend, cloud services, automated testing, and AI-augmented development practices.

The role offers a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) in Rockville, MD, with w2 benefits. You will apply Generative AI tools to improve SDLC outcomes, lead code reviews, and collaborate with product, data, and compliance teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of full stack development experience delivering production-grade software.
• Expert-level Java with Spring and Spring Boot, microservices and RESTful API design at enterprise scale.
• Database design and query optimization across relational and non-relational systems (PostgreSQL, SQL, MongoDB, Spark SQL).
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data processing.
• Frontend expertise with React, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript; component-driven architecture.
• Automated testing with JUnit, Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright, with regression/Performance testing and TDD.
• Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, ECS, Fargate, S3, RDS, Lambda, EMR).
• CI/CD, Docker, and IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience using Generative AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance SDLC workflows.

Our client seeks an experienced Full Stack Engineer to build and maintain enterprise applications that support regulatory operations. The role requires expertise across backend and frontend development, cloud services, automated testing, and AI-augmented development practices. The successful candidate will take ownership of complex challenges, apply modern engineering standards, and use Generative AI tools to improve SDLC outcomes.

• Design, develop, and maintain robust full-stack applications supporting regulatory operations.
• Preemptively identify and resolve technical risks and cross-team dependencies.
• Solve complex business problems and simplify code and infrastructure for maintainability and cost efficiency.
• Apply Generative AI tools throughout the SDLC to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery speed.
• Build and enforce automated testing strategies for reliability, performance, and scalability.

• Lead and participate in code reviews, uphold coding standards, and mentor peers.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of full stack development experience with a track record of delivering production-grade software.
• Expert-level Java with Spring and Spring Boot, with microservices and RESTful API design at enterprise scale.
• Database design and query optimization across relational and non-relational systems such as PostgreSQL, SQL, MongoDB, and Spark SQL.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data processing.
• Frontend expertise with React, Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript using component-driven architecture and modern best practices.
• Automated testing experience with tools such as JUnit, Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright, including regression and performance testing, and commitment to TDD.
• Hands-on AWS experience with services including EC2, ECS, Fargate, S3, RDS, Lambda, and EMR.
• CI/CD, Docker, and infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Demonstrated use of Generative AI tools such as Kiro or GitHub Copilot to enhance SDLC workflows, with familiarity in AI/ML concepts and integrations.
• Nice to have: AWS certifications, GitLab CI/CD experience, and GenAI certifications.
