Job summary

Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (AOI) in Sugar Land, TX, seeks a Full Stack Software Developer to design, build, and own internal manufacturing software.

You will drive end-to-end solutions across MES/RMS integrations, dashboards, and equipment-automation interfaces, using C#/.NET and Blazor. The role combines front-end dashboards with back-end services and SECS/GEM host software, offering high autonomy in a growing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related STEM field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C# / .NET development (ASP.NET Core, Blazor, EF).
• Solid experience with SQL databases and querying.
• Frontend tech: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript; RESTful API design; Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, own, and maintain full-stack internal web apps for manufacturing operations.
• Build responsive front-ends and robust back-ends using C# / .NET with optional JS tools.
• Integrate MES and RMS systems and work with SECS/GEM protocols where needed.
• Create dashboards for production performance, yield, and equipment health.
• Provide production support, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination.
