Job summary

RVO Health in the Charlotte Metro Area is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to Healthgrades' widget platform and content experiences. You will design, build, and ship features from requirements through production, partnering with product managers and engineers to scope work and plan sprints.

The role involves modernizing legacy code toward a React/TypeScript stack, writing clean, tested code, participating in reviews, and supporting production systems, including on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of software development experience with large-scale web applications.
• Full stack experience across frontend and backend.
• 1+ year hands-on React experience.
• Strong JavaScript fundamentals.
• Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship features across the widget platform and content systems from requirements to production.
• Collaborate with product, project management, and engineers to scope work and plan sprints.
• Write clean, tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Modernize legacy code toward a React/TypeScript stack.
• Debug and support production systems, including on-call rotations.
• Work with QA to improve test coverage and reliability.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate development when appropriate.
