The role is based on-site at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD with security requirements and cross-team collaboration. The position emphasizes secure coding, RESTful APIs, and integration with diverse systems, with Agile planning and mentorship as part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering production applications across UI, API, and data layers.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and working with relational DBs (SQL Server/PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, security, testing, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems and write maintainable, well-documented code.
• Strong communication and collaboration with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer needs into software requirements and designs.
• Build and maintain back-end services and RESTful APIs.
• Design data models and optimize DB performance.
• Integrate front-end with back-end, services, and external systems; diagnose issues across stack.
• Apply secure coding practices and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Create tests and participate in code reviews.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and sustainment.
• Document architecture and communicate risks and progress.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to Agile planning.
