Job summary

Tech(x) is seeking a Software Engineer - Full Stack to design, develop, test, and sustain web applications for government missions. You will work across UI, services, and data layers, collaborating with product stakeholders and engineering teams throughout the software life cycle.

The role is on-site at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, with up to 30% travel, and requires a current DoD Secret clearance. Expected to deliver secure, scalable software with modern tooling and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering production applications across front-end, back-end, and database layers.
• Development of RESTful APIs and integration of services with relational databases (SQL Server or PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, security testing, CI/CD pipelines, and Git workflows.
• Ability to troubleshoot distributed applications, evaluate tradeoffs, and write maintainable code.
• Ability to work independently and with stakeholders, aligning with customer priorities.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer needs into software requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and designs.
• Build and maintain back-end services and RESTful APIs using a modern stack.
• Design relational data models and optimize queries and performance.
• Integrate front-end components with services, databases, and identity providers.
• Apply secure coding practices and remediate vulnerabilities with security personnel.
• Create and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; conduct code reviews.
• Use Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated builds to support releases.
• Support deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and sustainment in various environments.
• Document architecture, interfaces, deployment procedures, and operational guidance.
• Participate in Agile planning and mentor teammates.
