Job summary

Tech(x) is seeking a Software Engineer - Full Stack in Aberdeen, MD to design, develop, test, and sustain web-based software for government customers. You will deliver secure apps across UI, services, and data layers while collaborating with stakeholders and engineering teams throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires experience building production-grade applications, RESTful APIs, and strong knowledge of relational databases. On-site work with up to 30% travel, DoD clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering production applications across frontend, backend, and database layers.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs, integrating services, and relational databases.
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, security testing, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to troubleshoot distributed apps, compare technical options, and write maintainable code.
• Ability to work independently and with stakeholders across teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer needs into software requirements, user stories, and estimates.
• Build and maintain back-end services and RESTful APIs using .NET/Java/Python/Node.js.
• Design relational data models, migrations, and performance optimizations.
• Integrate front-end components, databases, and external systems; diagnose issues.
• Apply secure coding practices and remediate vulnerabilities with security teams.
• Create unit, integration and end-to-end tests; conduct code reviews.
