Job summary

CarGurus is offering a Software Development Engineer Intern position on the International Engineering team. This 11-week Summer Internship runs from June through August 2027 and is a full-time internship (40 hours per week).

The role is based in Boston, MA with a hybrid model requiring about 60% office time. You will work with engineers, data analysts, and product managers to build scalable solutions and gain hands-on industry experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, with eligibility to complete a full-time internship.
• Desire to learn and expand capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Join a multi-functional team focused on CarGurus International presence (Canada & UK).
• Collaborate with data analysts, product managers, and other engineers.
• Participate in whiteboard sessions and design conversations on engineering the best solution to challenges.
• Test new insights with quick experiments and validate results.
• Write clean, well-tested, and efficient code.
• Engage in mentorship with experienced engineers.
