Job summary

CarGurus is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer intern for a full-time, 11-week summer program in Boston. The role runs June–August 2027 with a hybrid model, requiring about three days per week in the Boston office.

You’ll design and deploy observability systems, scale monitoring for 200+ engineers, and work with SREs on incidents and postmortems while learning core industry practices and collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field with eligibility for a full‑time internship.
• Hands-on Linux experience and familiarity with the linux CLI.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain and deploy observability systems across the stack.
• Assist in scaling observability for 200+ engineers and hundreds of services.
• Collaborate with SREs on incidents and postmortems.
• Promote best practices within the engineering org.
