Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, CA is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and support LLNL's Enterprise Search platform within the Digital Experience and Search group. Qualifications

• Active DOE clearance (Q level) or Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in computer or engineering field or equivalent
• Experience with DML/DDL in relational DBMS (Oracle, MySQL)
• Knowledge of web architecture trends: performance, accessibility, UI/UX, scalability, usability
• Experience with ML models in text and image analysis
• Experience with SDLC, version control and issue tracking tools
• Ability to own projects end-to-end and manage concurrent tasks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for teamwork

Responsibilities

• Provide software engineering and maintenance across the SDLC for frontend and backend for the enterprise search environment
• Leverage Elasticsearch, Java, Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, Python for crawling, indexing, query tuning, reporting, and API/UI updates
• Create and update CI/CD pipelines to build and test features
• Deploy software following an agile process ensuring security and modularity
• Provide analysis and innovative methods to enhance product services
• Mentor teammates and share knowledge on design and processes
• Perform other duties as assigned
