Clasp is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to scale our education finance platform for tens of thousands of students and partners. You will work across frontend, backend, and DevOps, delivering end‑to‑end features with customer focus and ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience (bootcamp or professional experience).
• 5+ years building web applications in production (startup or fast-paced team preferred).
• Experience contributing to full‑stack systems (frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure).
• Customer-first mindset and ownership over quality of shipped work.
• Care for craft—improving existing systems, not just shipping new features.
• Familiar with modern CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins).
• Strong collaboration and communication with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Build, enhance, and maintain features across the application management and loan repayment platform (frontend and backend).
• Improve clarity, reliability, and developer experience in the codebase and systems.
• Develop polished, accessible UIs for students and admins and reliable APIs for partners.
• Prioritize usability, accessibility, and long-term maintainability in engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineers to translate requirements into maintainable solutions.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code and participate in code reviews to raise team standards.
• Improve services, fix bugs, and address technical debt to enhance reliability and performance.
• Own services in a DevOps culture, support deployments, and ensure production stability.
• Grow by taking on complex problems with mentorship from senior engineers.
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain resilient systems.
