Job summary

The Weather Company seeks a skilled Full Stack Software Engineer to join the aviation engineering team. You will build data-rich visualizations and APIs using React, Go, Node.js, and .NET/C#, backed by MongoDB and SQL Server.

This hybrid role requires three days in the office and participation in 24x7 on-call after ramp-up. You will collaborate across product and UX, deploy on AWS, and apply AI coding tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring code quality and reliability for aviation

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of professional software development experience in full stack apps.
• Practical experience using AI tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude) in workflows.
• Proficiency in React or similar frontend framework for data‑driven UIs.
• Backend experience in Go, Node.js, or .NET/C#.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server and MongoDB databases.
• Strong REST API design and HTTP fundamentals.
• Experience with Git workflows and collaborative teams.
• Track record of writing readable, maintainable code and ownership.
• Ability to work across multiple codebases and adapt tech stacks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full stack features across frontend and backend.
• Develop high-performance visualizations for aviation data.
• Design and extend RESTful APIs using Go and Node.js.
• Create responsive frontend interfaces with React.
• Manage data with MongoDB and SQL Server efficiently.
• Deploy and monitor services on AWS with best practices.
• Write clean, well-tested, documented code; participate in reviews.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX, and engineers in Agile.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support incident response.
• Contribute to on-call rotation after ramp-up period.
