Job summary

MSCI in New York seeks a hands-on Full Stack Engineer for the Private Assets AI team to build the platform used by the world’s largest allocators. You’ll own the web UI, services, and AI features, shipping modern web applications end-to-end.

You’ll work across React/Next.js/TypeScript on the frontend and Python/FastAPI on the backend, collaborate with product and AI engineers, and translate client workflows into concrete product improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building and operating production web apps.
• Strong React/Next.js/TypeScript frontend experience.
• Backend Python with APIs and services (FastAPI).
• Experience adding LLM APIs to products.
• Excellent communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Comfortable in lean, fast-moving teams.
• Nice to have private markets/fintech experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship features across the web app (React/Next.js/TypeScript) and backend (Python/FastAPI).
• Create responsive, data-heavy interfaces for review, diligence frameworks, and reports.
• Design and evolve APIs and data models for the app and AI features.
• Integrate LLM-powered capabilities into client workflows with AI team.
• Collaborate with clients to understand workflows and translate feedback into product improvements.
• Onboard clients and support secure document ingestion and platform configuration.
• Ensure reliability and performance with testing, monitoring, and incident response.
• Lead code reviews, design docs, and CI/CD to raise engineering quality.
• Improve team productivity by applying AI coding assistants.
