Job description

Your Team Responsibilities

We're seeking an exceptional Full Stack Engineer to join our Private Assets AI team in New York and help build the platform that is changing how the world's largest allocators evaluate funds and managers. Our AI-native diligence platform turns vast volumes of unstructured documents into structured, decision-ready insights, and this role sits at the center of that product: the interface clients use every day, the services behind it, and the AI features that bring them together. The ideal candidate is a product-minded generalist with deep experience shipping modern web applications end to end and a passion for working close to clients and their problems.

As a hands-on individual contributor, you'll work across the full stack, from React and TypeScript on the front end through Python services and data models to integrating LLM-powered features into client-facing workflows. You'll work closely with product, design, and our AI engineers, and you'll spend time with clients and client-facing teams understanding how allocators run diligence, translating that into the product, and helping new clients get up and running. You'll help set engineering standards for quality, performance, and reliability across the platform.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape a fast-growing product at the intersection of AI and private markets, with direct impact on how the world's largest financial institutions invest.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and ship product features end to end across the web application (React, Next.js, TypeScript) and backend services (Python, FastAPI)
  • Build responsive, performant, and intuitive interfaces for document-heavy workflows, including data review, diligence frameworks, and report generation and editing
  • Design and evolve APIs and data models that serve both the application and its AI-driven features
  • Integrate LLM-powered capabilities such as document extraction, chat over data, and generated reports into client-facing workflows, in partnership with the AI engineering team
  • Work directly with clients and client-facing teams to understand diligence workflows, gather feedback, and turn it into product improvements
  • Support client onboarding and integrations, including secure document ingestion and platform configuration
  • Own reliability and performance across the stack through testing, monitoring, and incident response
  • Drive engineering quality through code reviews, design documentation, and CI/CD
  • Improve the team's productivity by applying AI coding assistants and agents to engineering tasks
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production web applications end to end
  • Strong front-end experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript, with a track record of shipping polished, data-rich interfaces
  • Solid backend experience in Python, including APIs and services (FastAPI or similar), relational databases (MySQL or Postgres), and async or background job processing
  • Experience integrating LLM APIs into product features, including prompt design, tool calling, and handling model outputs in a user-facing application, with an appetite to go deeper
  • Strong product sense, including a clear understanding of user workflows, attention to how features feel to use, and the judgment to make sensible scope trade-offs
  • Effective working directly with clients and non-technical stakeholders, with the ability to communicate clearly in both directions
  • Comfortable in a lean, fast-moving team: takes ownership, moves between front end, backend, and AI work as needed, and sees features through to production
  • Strong plus: experience in financial services, particularly private markets, asset management, wealth management, or fintech
  • Strong plus: experience in a forward-deployed, solutions, or early-stage product engineering role with significant client exposure
  • Strong plus: experience with GCP or Azure, containers, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar)
