Job summary

New York Stock Exchange, an Intercontinental Exchange company, is seeking a versatile Full Stack Software Engineer to own problems from idea to production across the stack. You will design, build, test, and deliver API-driven features while leveraging AI tools to accelerate work and maintain high quality.

The role emphasizes independent and collaborative work in an agile environment, with responsibilities spanning frontend, backend, testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, testing, debugging, maintainable design.
• Proficiency with React and TypeScript; JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Experience building backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases.
• Ability to write automated tests and review AI-built code.
• Experience using AI development tools and tooling.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and build thoroughly tested, efficient, maintainable software across the full stack.
• Own features from concept through production and support.
• Design, build, and integrate RESTful APIs and services.
• Contribute to shared component and testing frameworks.
• Use AI and agentic tools to accelerate implementation, testing, and documentation while ensuring quality.
• Review AI-generated code with the same rigor as hand-written code.
• Choose appropriate AI models balancing capability, speed, and cost.
• Create and maintain clear software documentation.
• Prepare and release software components; build wireframes and prototypes.
• Provide delivery support, including after-hours when necessary.
