Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking an eCommerce Engineer to build and maintain features across the flooranddecor.com platform, working full stack on front-end and back-end systems to deliver reliable customer experiences.

You'll collaborate with senior engineers in an Agile environment, use AI-assisted coding tools, and participate in code deployments, testing, and optimization of catalog, pricing, promotions, checkout, and other workflows.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of professional software development experience, including exposure to full-stack web development
• Working knowledge of React (or a comparable modern JavaScript framework) and front-end fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Experience with at least one back-end language/framework (Java preferred) and RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with Git-based version control and collaborative development workflows
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain front-end components using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript within established design systems
• Develop and support back-end services, APIs, and integrations that power the eCommerce experience
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code following team coding standards and peer review practices
• Support day-to-day development, configuration, and troubleshooting on flooranddecor.com's commerce platform (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, WebSphere Commerce, or a comparable large-scale platform)
• Assist with catalog, pricing, promotions, checkout, and other core commerce workflows under senior engineer guidance
• Participate in code deployments and monitor the post-release health of assigned features
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and automated regression tests for assigned features
• Participate in QA cycles, defect triage, and bug fixes to help maintain platform stability
• Support performance and accessibility testing for customer-facing pages
• Work closely with senior engineers, QA, and product partners in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver sprint commitments
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to accelerate coding tasks, prototyping, and debugging, while maintaining code quality and security standards
• Actively build platform and full-stack expertise through pairing, code review feedback, and self-directed learning
