Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking an eCommerce Engineer to build and maintain features across the online platform, working full stack across front-end and back-end systems. You will translate requirements into working code under guidance, contributing to high-quality customer experiences.

Responsibilities include developing frontend components with React, supporting backend APIs, writing tests, and collaborating in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional software development experience with full-stack web development
• Proficiency in React and front-end fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Experience with at least one back-end language/framework and RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with Git-based version control and collaborative workflows
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain front-end components using React and TypeScript within design systems
• Develop and support back-end services, APIs, and integrations powering the eCommerce experience
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code following team standards and peer review practices
• Support day-to-day development, configuration, and troubleshooting on the commerce platform
• Participate in code deployments and monitor post-release health of features
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and automated regression tests
• Collaborate with senior engineers, QA, and product partners in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to accelerate coding tasks while ensuring quality and security
