Job summary

EY is building a Digital Asset Research Center in the US to research blockchains, smart contracts, and digital assets while delivering assurance services to major clients in this evolving sector.

The role involves contributing to a small, rapidly growing team that collaborates with regions across the globe to develop tools and methods for auditing and testing digital asset activities. Hybrid work and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of related prior work experience in application development.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Management or related field.
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and decentralized applications (dApps).
• Experience with Node.js/Express/React/Angular or similar JavaScript/TypeScript stack.
• Experience with Ethereum or other protocols like Hyperledger, Solana, etc.
• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha).
• Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases.
• Git or other version control software.
• Container tech such as Docker or Podman.
• DevOps and cloud service providers (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Experience in Agile teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical writing and client presentations.

Responsibilities

• Full-stack software development including front-end and back-end.
• Create technical documentation and memos for complex digital asset topics.
• Collaborate with financial auditors to test financial statement assertions related to digital assets.
• Solve novel technical problems and provide innovative client solutions.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging practices and apply them as needed.
