Sartre Group in New York City is seeking a Senior/Staff Full Stack Engineer to help build our AI platform. The role blends real-time UI work with backend services and LLM integrations, within a small engineering team.

This NYC-based position is hybrid with four days onsite, offering a base salary between $150,000 and $250,000 plus bonus (DOE). Strong TypeScript, Python, and SQL skills are required, along with a track record delivering end-to-end systems in a startup environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years software engineering experience.

• Experience building and owning end-to-end systems.
• Comfortable working onsite 4 days/week in NYC.
• Interest or experience in AI/LLMs (integration-level is fine).

Senior/Staff Full Stack Engineer – AI Platform (NYC, Hybrid)

Location: Midtown NYC (4 days onsite)

Compensation: $150,000–$250,000 base + bonus (DOE)

We're working with a fully funded AI startup backed by a major hedge fund. The team builds internal tools that use LLMs to extract insights from financial data (e.g., earnings calls, broker notes, internal research). The platform is live and used daily across the business.

You’ll be part of a small engineering team, building full-stack systems from scratch - real-time UIs, backend services, and LLM integrations.

Requirements

• 4+ years software engineering experience
• Strong in TypeScript, Python and SQL
• Experience building and owning end-to-end systems
• Comfortable working onsite 4 days/week in NYC
• Interest or experience in AI/LLMs (integration-level is fine)

Nice to Have
