Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a Full-Service Technician in Temple, TX to recondition, reassemble, and test regulator transformers. You will follow work orders, wire controls, kit parts, and help maintain safe, clean workstations in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED (OSHA10 a plus) and basic electrical/tool knowledge. Safety and quality compliance are essential, with opportunities to learn other departments as needed.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical and transformer experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of tools and electrical knowledge required.
  • OSHA10 certification preferred.
  • Experience with material handling equipment preferred.
  • Strong safety performance and compliance with safety rules.

Responsibilities

Job description

Brief Description

The Full-Service Technician is responsible for reconditioning, reassembly, and testing of regulator transformers. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards and company policies are essential functions of this role.



  • Read and follow work order instructions to ensure your rebuilding transformers to customer specifications.

  • Reconditioning and wiring controls for regulators

  • Kitting parts for regulator orders

  • Collecting parts for inventory

  • Cleaning Parts

  • Cycle counts

  • Draining regulators

  • Building regulators

  • Basic testing of regulators

  • Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation.

  • Other assigned duties as needed.


Requirements


  • HS Diploma/GED preferred.

  • Mechanical and transformer experience preferred.

  • Basic Knowledge of Tools

  • Basic Electrical Knowledge

  • OSHA10 certification preferred

  • Material handling equipment experience (forklift, crane, etc.) preferred.

  • A proven track record in safety excellence is required.

  • Adheres to all safety and environmental compliance regulations set by the organization. Notify management immediately of any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or injuries.

  • Ability to read and interpret work orders.

  • Meet department and production goals set by supervisor.

  • Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations.

  • Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail and can work in a team environment.

  • Adheres to the company’s employee handbook policies and embodies the organization’s core values.

  • Ability to learn other department job functions and fill in as needed.

  • Complete company compliance and safety training when required.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Physical requirements for this role include, but are not limited to the following:


    • Lift 50lbs floor to waist and waist to shoulder multiple times

    • Standing and walking for long durations

    • Bending, squatting, and kneeling multiple times for long durations

    • The ability to climb up and down a ladder multiple times

    • Balance and stand on a ladder with three points of contact for extended periods of time

    • Comfortable working in the heat and cold due to manufacturing facilities not being climate controlled
