Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon in Temple, TX is seeking a Full-Service Technician responsible for reconditioning, reassembly, and testing of regulator transformers. You will follow work orders and maintain safe, clean workstations.

Ideal candidates have a High school diploma, mechanical and transformer experience preferred, and a commitment to safety. This is a non-exempt full-time position with hourly pay between $22.50 and $23.50.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow work order instructions to rebuild transformers to customer specifications.
  • Reconditioning and wiring controls for regulators.
  • Kitting parts for regulator orders.
  • Collecting parts for inventory.
  • Cleaning parts.
  • Cycle counts.
  • Draining regulators.
  • Building regulators.
  • Basic testing of regulators.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
  • Other assigned duties as needed.

The Full-Service Technician is responsible for reconditioning, reassembly, and testing of regulator transformers. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards and company policies are essential functions of this role.

  • Read and follow work order instructions to ensure your rebuilding transformers to customer specifications.
  • Reconditioning and wiring controls for regulators
  • Kitting parts for regulator orders
  • Collecting parts for inventory
  • Cleaning Parts
  • Cycle counts
  • Draining regulators
  • Building regulators
  • Basic testing of regulators
  • Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
  • Other assigned duties as needed.

  • A proven track record in safety excellence is required.
  • Adheres to all safety and environmental compliance regulations set by the organization. Notify management immediately of any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or injuries.

  • Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations.
  • Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail and can work in a team environment.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Physical requirements for this role include, but are not limited to the following:
    • Lift 50lbs floor to waist and waist to shoulder multiple times
    • Standing and walking for long durations
    • Bending, squatting, and kneeling multiple times for long durations
    • The ability to climb up and down a ladder multiple times
    • Balance and stand on a ladder with three points of contact for extended periods of time
    • Comfortable working in the heat and cold due to manufacturing facilities not being climate controlled
