Job summary

Save A Lot - Siston Group in Peebles, OH seeks a Meat Department Trainee to assist the Meat Cutter and Store Management in keeping the meat case and prep areas clean to the store's standard. Training is provided.

You will use knives and power equipment to cut and package meat, ensure proper display, and maintain cold chain and sanitation daily. Evening and weekend shifts required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience safely using manual pallet jacks and power equipment such as knives, wrappers, scales, slicers, cubing machine, and power saw.

Responsibilities

• Maintain meat case and prep areas clean to standard.
• Cut and package beef, pork, and poultry according to policies.
• Display meat cuts attractively in the counter.
• Receive, inspect, and store meat to maintain cold chain and quality.

Job Summary

The Meat Department Trainee assists the Meat Cutter and Store Management in keeping the meat case and prep areas clean and up to the Peebles Save-a-lot standard.

Responsibilities

• Uses knives and power equipment, cuts and/or packages authorized beef, pork, and poultry items according to Save A Lot policies and procedures
• Places meat cuts and products in the display counter according to Save A Lot procedures so they will appear attractive and appealing to the customers
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery, to maintain the cold chain and ensures meat quality
• Ensures excellent sanitation and quality standards are met daily which adhere to Save A Lot policy

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Experience safely using manual pallet jacks, hand tools, and power equipment, including but not limited to knives, wrappers, scales, slicers, cubing machine, and power saw WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON!
• Ability to regularly lift 80lbs
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
