Job summary

Save A Lot - Ascend Grocery LLC is seeking a Meat Cutter to manage the meat department, trim and prepare standard cuts, and deliver outstanding customer service in the store. You will follow the meat merchandising plan and ensure products are displayed attractively while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The position supports both full-time and part-time schedules, with emphasis on flexible shifts and opportunities for advancement within the store network.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience safely using manual pallet jacks, hand tools, and power equipment is preferred.
• Ability to regularly lift 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Uses knives and power equipment, cuts and/or packages authorized beef, pork, and poultry items according to Save A Lot policies and procedures.
• Prepares and places meat cuts and products in the display counter according to Save A Lot procedures so they will appear attractive and appealing to the customers.
• Assist with product ordering.
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery, to maintain the cold chain and ensures meat quality.
• Ensures excellent sanitation and quality standards are met daily which adhere to Save A Lot policy.

Job Summary

The Meat Cutter ensures the store’s meat department operates at the standards set by the company, driving sales and maximizing profitability. The Meat Cutter delivers the highest level of customer service and satisfaction by following the company’s meat merchandising plan and trimming /preparing standard cuts of meat as outlined in the Meat Cutter Resource Manual.
