Job summary

TYR is seeking a motivated Trader/Sales Representative to manage and grow supply lines for specialty lumber and organic products in Portland, OR. The role combines sales, sourcing, logistics coordination, and relationship management with internal and external partners.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, strong multitasking skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Travel may be required in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment with uncapped earning potential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional work experience.
• Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Strong math, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn proprietary systems and tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage supply lines for specialty lumber and organic agricultural products.
• Execute sales activities, primarily via phone (approximately 90%).
• Source products and negotiate pricing with vendors and buyers.
• Coordinate logistics and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Resolve conflicts and maintain strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize trading outcomes.
• Travel as needed.
