Job summary

Corporate Resources of Illinois is hiring a Recruiter in Elgin, IL to partner with hiring managers across corporate office and warehouse operations, guiding talent from intake to onboarding.

You will build talent pipelines, conduct structured interviews, coordinate offers, and drive an exceptional candidate experience while using data and technology to improve recruiting efficiency, even as the sole recruiter on the HR team.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of full cycle sourcing and recruiting experience for office and warehouse through multiple channels.
• Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build out the recruiting department by putting together SOPs for all recruiting processes.
• Demonstrated experience taking requisitions from intake through sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation and acceptance.
• Recruit for Corporate, Office, and Warehouse positions.
• Partner with hiring managers, conduct intake meetings, establish interview processes and support effective hiring.
• Build proactive talent pipelines for recurring and difficult-to-fill positions.
• Source active and passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, networking, career fairs, colleges, technical schools, military transition programs, and other sourcing strategies.
• Conduct structured phone screens and interviews.
• Evaluate candidates based on qualifications, transferable skills, learning agility, and long-term potential.
• Coordinate interviews with exceptional communication to candidates and managers.
• Prepare employment offers and onboarding activities to create an exceptional first-day experience.
• Represent us at career fairs, networking events, schools, and community outreach activities.
• Analyze recruiting metrics and identify opportunities to improve hiring outcomes.
• Utilize technology, automation, AI, and analytics to improve efficiency while maintaining sound professional judgment.
• Recommend process improvements to simplify, standardize, automate, and scale recruiting processes.
• Highly self-directed and organized; must be comfortable being the only recruiter without a team.
• Open to taking on additional responsibilities outside talent acquisition.
