Job summary

Domenico Winery, a family-owned hospitality company with an urban winery and The Osteria, seeks a Full-Charge Bookkeeper to own the books for both Domenico Catering & Events and The Osteria end to end.

You’ll work directly with our CEO and COO, sit in on the monthly P&L review, and over 12–24 months build toward controller-level duties such as budgets, cash flow forecasting, and P&L analysis for each business line, with pay growth as you prove readiness.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience.
• Experience in restaurant, catering, hospitality or winery preferred.
• Proficient with QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) and multi-entity tracking.
• Experience with California payroll, including tips and service charges.
• Degree in accounting or related field; CPA/CMA in progress.

Responsibilities

• Tie out each day's Toast sales, including card batches, merchant fees, cash, gift cards and tips.
• Track client deposits from contract signing to final guest departure; recognize as revenue and manage receivables.
• Code vendor invoices in MarginEdge and run weekly payment batches.
• Manage semi-monthly payroll across entities in BambooHR, including tips and service charges.
• Close books by the 10th business day with reconciliations and accruals.
• Prepare P&L by line and support internal decision making.
• Handle sales tax filings, 1099s, year-end schedules, and internal controls.
