Huber’s Orchard & Winery, a seventh-generation family-owned agritourism and beverage alcohol enterprise, seeks a seasoned Controller to oversee accounting operations across multiple divisions including farming, winery, distillery, retail, and hospitality. The role leads financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls, collaborating with Treasury for cash management and banking relationships.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, at least 5 years in a senior role.
Experience managing financial operations in a multi-entity environment.
Hands-on cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing accounting experience.
Proficiency with QuickBooks Enterprise, including PO and Inventory Management.
Knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, and internal controls.
Experience with Indiana state and federal tax knowledge.

Responsibilities

Lead all day-to-day accounting functions including financial reporting, GL management, auditing, compliance, internal controls, and payments system.
Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for all entities.
Develop and maintain division-level P&L statements for each operating division.
Provide strategic financial analysis to ownership and senior leadership.
Lead budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with leaders.
