We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to oversee the financial health and day-to-day accounting operations of our company. This role is integral to ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and smooth internal processes. The ideal candidate will be experienced in bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting, with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and oversee all accounting transactions
  • Perform daily sales audits, including POS reconciliation, tip distribution, and food/beverage tracking
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements: balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections
  • Process payroll and administer employee benefits; track time off, sick leave, and vacation accruals
  • Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax returns, including sales tax and payroll tax compliance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the company’s Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Provide financial reports and updates to management and the Board of Directors; answer related inquiries
  • Handle incoming calls and assist clients with account-related questions or issues

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms)
  • POS system experience preferred, but not required
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and tax regulations
  • Proven experience with payroll processing and employee benefit administration
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive financial statements and perform detailed financial analysis
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and reliability
