Job description

Bookkeeper Full Charge - with attention to detail (Fall River)

Full Charge Bookkeeper Full Time

(On-site only - No remote workers)

We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
  2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
  4. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  5. Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  6. Support month-end and year-end close process
  7. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  8. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  9. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  10. Process daily billing, receipts, and credit applications and resolve billing disputes
  11. Enter accounts payable invoices
  12. Process check runs
  13. Enter credit card charges into the accounting system
  14. Monitor accounts receivable, aging, and collections activity
  15. Monitor accounts payable, aging, and collections activity
  16. Process month end closing for A/R, A/P, and Inventory
  17. Process monthly commission reports
  18. Assist with general journal entries and bank reconciliations
  19. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  1. Five or more years of bookkeeping and accounting experience
  2. Associate degree in accounting and relevant business courses
  3. A strong skill set with personal computers is mandatory including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Netsuite and Quickbooks or equivalent accounting software.
  4. Proven bookkeeping experience
  5. Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
  6. Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  7. Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  8. Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
  9. Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  10. Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  11. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  12. Must have exceptional communication skills and be able to work independently in a confidential environment.

Compensation: Based on experience and qualifications

Full Time: Monday through Friday
