Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Hillsboro, OH to receive, stock, pack, and dispatch goods in its distribution center. You will follow established procedures to ensure accurate handling and timely shipments.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading, using forklifts or pallet jacks, maintaining stock records, and adhering to safety guidelines. A high school diploma and at least one year of related experience are preferred; forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to load, unload, pick, pack, or move goods in a warehouse; forklift experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and aptitude to learn; familiar with MS Office, Vista, Control, SX.e, Prophet 21.
• Ability to read safety rules, work orders, and manuals.
• Basic math skills; ability to compute rates and quantities.
• Teamwork, self-motivation and attention to detail; safety-minded.

Responsibilities

• Process and load orders to complete shipments according to schedules.
• Unload, receive, and store incoming goods; check for damage and discrepancies.
• Sort, label, move and store goods; optimize storage layout and use appropriate equipment.
• Weigh or count items for inventory accuracy and file paperwork accordingly.
• Prepare, pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods; use pick sheets to locate items.
• Load trucks for delivery and verify shipping details.
• Enter data into stock systems and respond to inquiries; log discrepancies.
• Operate warehouse equipment as needed and maintain safety standards.
• Assist in inventory maintenance and participate in counts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
