Job summary

Amazon Inc. in Concord, NC is hiring an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates and drive safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and on-time customer delivery.

You will mentor the shift, coordinate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance and HR to meet business objectives, manage workload across First/Middle/Last mile concepts, and ensure operatives stay safe in variable conditions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Do you currently hold a valid and active USA state drivers license?

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with all support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud and in variable temperatures (delivery stations include outside loading departments).
