Job summary

Patterson Companies, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the Hereford Fulfillment Center (approx. 5 employees). You will design and execute the facility plan to optimize cost, quality, and safety, and oversee daily activities from receiving to shipping to meet customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include building a leadership bench, monitoring inventory integrity, reducing loss, negotiating with freight and vendors, and ensuring regulatory and safety compliance across the location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management and Distribution/Fulfillment Logistics or equivalent work experience is required.
• 8+ years supervision experience and 5 years of leadership responsibility.
• 3+ years ERP experience (SAP preferred).
• Proven soft skills – analytical, problem solving, communication, interpersonal.
• Organized, strong attention to detail, and follow through.
• Demonstrated success in leadership, prioritizing and time-management.
• Complete provided CPR & First Aid training upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct all operations of the Fulfillment Center of about 5 employees.
• Design and implement the facility plan to optimize cost, quality, and safety.
• Manage daily activities of the fulfillment center.
• Identify and build a leadership team monitoring inventory integrity, minimize loss and manage expenses.
• Ensure goods are received, stocked, and dispatched on time meeting customer satisfaction.
• Evaluate freight services, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety requirements.
