Job summary

ShipBob is seeking an Area Manager in Fort Worth to lead a 30+ warehouse team, drive performance metrics, and ensure a safe, efficient operation. You will collaborate across shifts, mentor leads, and push continuous improvement across our fulfillment centers.

You will report to the Director, Sort Center Operations and help scale our growing logistics network while maintaining high standards for client service and employee engagement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of people management and operational leadership experience within a high-volume 3PL fulfillment environment.
• Ability to manage performance, deliver feedback, train and develop talent for professional growth.
• Solid computer skills with Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerBI and TMS systems.
• Strong analytical skills and experience tracking and achieving KPIs.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to change.
• Hard working with a focus on learning and helping small businesses compete online.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders and carrier partners.
• Willing to work rotating shifts and non-traditional hours as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand/walk 8-10 hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage, build, and develop a team of 30+ warehouse associates (Temp and FTE).
• Review weekly work forecasts and identify productivity requirements to meet building objectives.
• Partner with other Area Managers to balance labor and ensure efficient shifts while meeting goals.
• Own operational metric reporting (VCPO, UPH, OPH, on-time receiving/shipping, SLA adherence, Injury Rate).
• Identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions to maintain standards.
• Ensure teams are trained on processes, understand metrics, and have necessary resources.
• Develop Lead talent with tools, training, and guidance to meet standards.
• Foster employee engagement onsite through activities, events, and programs.
• Review and approve associate timecards daily.
• Serve as escalations contact to mitigate risk and resolve issues quickly.
• Support safety programs and OSHA compliance for a safe environment.
• Supervise daily workflows to ensure proper handling in line with safety/quality procedures.
• Maintain hygiene and contamination control culture and accountability.
