Job summary

Flexport is seeking an Area Manager to lead a 30-100 person team at a major fulfillment partner. You will drive on-time receiving/shipping, inventory accuracy, and packing quality while maintaining compliance and safety standards.

In this role you will report performance, push continuous improvement, and collaborate with Growth and Engineering teams to resolve systemic issues in a fast-paced, scalable logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years managing staff of 5 or more.

Responsibilities

• Coach, manage, and develop a team of 30-100.
• Communicate policies to your team and act as the primary information source for the team.
• Create, manage, and support recognition programs across your department.
• Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment.
• Ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention.
• Own performance reporting for on-time receiving and shipping, inventory accuracy, and packing quality.
• Facilitate troubleshooting with relevant cross-functional parties for fulfillment-related problems.
• Serve as an escalation point to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
• Measure and respond to gaps in inventory accuracy, driving root-cause initiatives.
• Review defect rates to identify trends and opportunities to improve operations.
• Track learnings and best practices to SOPs.
• Help prioritize the resolution of systemic problems with Growth and Engineering teams.
