Job summary

Spreetail is seeking an Area Manager to lead inbound or outbound shift operations within its growing nationwide logistics network. You will manage frontline teams, hit daily throughput goals, and uphold high safety and quality standards.

You will drive continuous improvement, develop staff, and coordinate with carriers and planners to balance capacity. Flexibility for non-standard shifts is required; a fast-paced, inclusive culture awaits.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of direct supervisory experience managing hourly frontline teams.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data interpretation and shift labor adjustments.
• Experience drafting SOPs and training diverse workforces to standardized work instructions.
• Strong emotional intelligence with ability to give constructive feedback and resolve conflicts.
• Willingness to work non-standard shifts including peak seasons and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day inbound or outbound shift operations, meeting SLAs and quality metrics.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive Lean/continuous improvement to reduce cost-per-unit and improve accuracy.
• Coach and develop shift leads and associates; build an internal promotion pipeline.
• Coordinate capacity planning with supply chain planning and carriers to balance volume and yard capacity.
• Serve as the operational point of contact for marketplace partners and carrier reps to resolve issues in real time.
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain 5S standards across the facility.
