Job summary

Spreetail is seeking an Area Manager to lead inbound or outbound shift operations within its nationwide fulfillment network. You will manage frontline teams, hit throughput goals, and uphold safety and quality standards across selected shifts.

Responsibilities include optimizing bottlenecks, coaching leads, coordinating with planning and carriers, and ensuring adherence to SOPs and 5S. Candidates should have 2–4 years supervisory experience and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of direct supervisory experience managing hourly frontline teams.
• Strong analytical skills with Excel/Google Sheets to interpret production metrics.
• Experience in process mapping, SOPs, and training diverse workforces.
• High EQ with ability to resolve conflicts and foster a high-performance culture.
• Willingness to work non-standard shifts, including peak-season surges.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day shift operations across inbound receiving/stow or outbound pick/pack/ship.
• Identify bottlenecks, eliminate waste, and implement Lean initiatives to optimize costs.
• Coach and develop shift leads and fulfillment associates; conduct 1-on-1s.
• Plan capacity with planning teams and freight carriers for volume and yard needs.
• Communicate with marketplace partners and carrier reps to resolve issues in real time.
• Enforce safety SOPs and maintain 5S standards to ensure a zero-incident culture.
