Job summary

TAIT is seeking a Fuel Systems Technician to perform electrical, construction, maintenance, testing, and repair work on commercial fuel systems. This field‑based role includes wiring, diagnostics, compliance testing, and service calls, with a pathway into a Construction Foreman position.

Initial training lasts ~4 weeks in Richardson, TX, with 25–50% overnight travel; later travel is 50–75% and may include multi‑week assignments.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of related commercial electrical construction, installation, and supervision experience.
• Electrical license/certification preferred; Apprentice or Journeyman Electrician certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of NEC requirements and commercial power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
• ICC UST and Veeder Root certifications preferred.
• 24- or 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate or current 8-hour refresher.
• Valid driver’s license required; Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate conduit and wiring for fuel system components and emergency generator equipment.
• Test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair UST/AST systems and related electrical/electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Perform monitoring, secondary containment, spill bucket, and vapor recovery testing.
• Support construction/repair projects and respond to maintenance and service calls.
• Complete daily logs and progress reports; meet project deadlines.
