Job summary

TAIT’s Fuel Systems team is seeking a skilled Fuel Systems Technician to perform electrical, construction, maintenance, testing, and repair work on commercial fuel systems. This field-based role includes wiring/conduit installation, equipment diagnostics, and a clear pathway into a Construction Foreman position.

You will install wiring, test UST/AST systems, perform containment and vapor recovery testing, support projects, and document progress while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of related commercial electrical construction, installation, and supervision experience.
• Electrical license/certification preferred; Apprentice or Journeyman Electrician certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of NEC requirements and commercial power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
• ICC UST and Veeder Root certifications preferred.
• HAZWOPER certificate or 8-hour refresher.
• Valid driver’s license; Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate conduit and wiring for fuel system components and emergency generator equipment.
• Test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair UST/AST systems and related electrical/electro-mechanical equipment.
• Perform monitoring, secondary containment, spill bucket, and vapor recovery testing.
• Support construction/repair projects and respond to maintenance and service calls.
• Complete daily logs and progress reports; meet project deadlines.
