Job summary

TAIT is seeking a Fuel Systems Technician to perform electrical, construction, maintenance, testing, and repair work on commercial fuel systems. This field-based role includes wiring and conduit installation, equipment diagnostics, compliance testing, construction support, and a path into a Construction Foreman role.

Travel is required; initial training is in Richardson, Texas, with 25–50% overnight travel, followed by 50–75% travel during peak seasons (weekends may be required).

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of related commercial electrical construction, installation, and supervision experience.
• Electrical license/certification preferred; Journeyman certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of NEC requirements and commercial power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
• ICC UST and Veeder Root certifications preferred.
• HAZWOPER certificate (24 or 40-hour) or current 8-hour refresher.
• Valid driver’s license; Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate conduit and wiring for fuel system components and emergency generator equipment.
• Test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair UST/AST systems and related electrical/electro-mechanical equipment.
• Perform monitoring, secondary containment, spill bucket, and vapor recovery testing.
• Support construction/repair projects and respond to maintenance and service calls.
• Complete daily logs and progress reports; meet project deadlines.
