Job summary

TAIT seeks an experienced Fuel Systems Technician to perform electrical, construction, maintenance, testing, and repair work on commercial fuel systems. This field-based role includes wiring, diagnostics, compliance testing, and service calls, with a pathway into a Construction Foreman role.

Training involves ~4 weeks in Richardson, TX, with 50–75% overnight travel after training; 24–40 hour HAZWOPER, NEC and Veeder Root certifications are preferred. Travel up to 50–75% during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in commercial electrical construction and supervision.
• Electrical license preferred; Journeyman/Apprentice certs a plus.
• Knowledge of NEC, power distribution, lighting, low-voltage systems.
• ICC UST and Veeder Root certs preferred.
• HAZWOPER 24/40h or 8-hour refresher.
• Valid driver's license; MS Office proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate conduit and wiring for fuel system components and emergency generator equipment.
• Test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair UST/AST systems and related electrical/electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Perform monitoring, secondary containment, spill bucket, and vapor recovery testing.
• Support construction/repair projects and respond to maintenance and service calls.
• Complete daily logs and progress reports; meet project deadlines.
